Google Image Swirl

Stumbled upon this pretty cool new Google Labs Feature. It is a new way to discover images that could be pretty useful. I can't explain it as well as Google, so click the link for more info.

December already?

Well it's almost December. Crazy how fast the year goes by. I've learned a lot, started a LOT of projects and even finished a few. Long term though, I'm just getting started. The holidays have led to less posting here, but it'll continue and get less sporadic after the New Year. I'm still working like crazy though and I set up a new desk and re-arranged my office which I will post about soon enough.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I'm especially thankful for my family, friends, those who support me, and of course my clients.

Stop

Have you ever felt like the picture above. Clear roads ahead, but you've got something in your way. Usually it's a mental block of some sort. I've stumbled upon this multiple times and I wish I could say there's just one answer to it, but there isn't. Sometimes I try to find motivation to force my way through. Other times I let it sit for a bit and come back with a fresh mind. The point is, keep trying! No matter the stumbling block, it'll only get worse if you don't try something new or take a different approach.

More photography

I've been missing photography. I've been too busy behind the computer to go out and shoot lately. It doesn't help that it's dark by the time I get off work either. I'm committed to taking more pictures, even if it means taking pictures of paper. That's the most boring thing I could think of, but now thinking about it, you can make paper into any shape...so scratch that. Anyway, more pictures!

Live...from my car!

I have a Samsung Q1 Tablet that I've been neglecting for some time and yesterday I decided to mess around with it again. One problem, I only have a car charger for it. So I drove to and from work with it plugged in and on a couple errands. It was fully charged when I started updating the software on it, but the battery last maybe 2 hours. So here I am, trying to finish the last download, in my car. Fortunately my wi-fi has no problem reaching the driveway. I just figured the situation was too funny to NOT blog about.

Do you store in a cloud?

More and more people are storing things online. Is that a good thing though? Sure it frees up localized hard drive space and it's easy, but what if the server goes down? I'm no saying I don't have some things in a cloud, but everything is backed up locally as well which I think many people are forgetting to do or are just relying on the cloud. All I'm saying is, don't put all your eggs in one basket cloud. Now the question is, do you store in a cloud? If so, how much do you rely on it?

Photo Project Update

I'd previously talked about an upcoming Photo Project. The project is complete, and along with two other photographers, the pics are up. Check them out at SEMA Gallery.

Weekend...gone!

I got home from my business trip at about 1am on Friday and crashed. Saturday, well I had been gone for a week, so there were tasks waiting for me. Fortunately, after a hard day's work today, I should be able to get back on track and finish up some projects as well as start new ones.

Time

We all need more time. Since the technology of time creation has yet to be perfected(I've wasted lots of time trying to figure it out), your best bet is time management. Managing when to do what and getting the most out of those precious hours of the day. If you're not managing your time, it just might pass you by.

When do you get work done?

It seems like I always get more work done either early in the morning or late at night. It's never a normal hour. Does my brain work better at that time? Who knows. It brings up a question though. When do you work best?

New blog?

One of the ideas Yom and I had involves me blogging elsewhere in addition to this. The question is do I have the time? Maybe. Would amount to much? Probably not. Would it be fun? Yes!

Is it November?

This is a screenshot of the weather in Las Vegas right now. Yeah, this is November weather. Last week it snowed at home! I could get used to this.

New idea hatched

Whenever Yom and I get together, ideas tend to flow. Yom's Random Stats started as a joke between us for example. Today was no exception. No details yet, but when I get back home, I'm getting to work.

Routine Change

I'm in Vegas right now for the SEMA Show and the place I was supposed to be staying at flooded. Now the hotel I'm at charges $12(!) a day for Internet access so I'm trying to avoid using it if I can. Tomorrow I'll probably crack, but my phone has been serving me well.
